Film News: Science-themed projects will get a total of $140,000 in funds — A film that has Jesse Eisenberg and Kate Bosworth attached and another exec produced by Terrence Malick are among the projects picking up coin from the Tribeca Film Institute Sloan Filmmaker Fund, which supports films in which science and tech play a major role in the narrative.
With grant money provided by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, $140,000 will be given to help filmmakers create and/or distribute their pics, and provide mentorship from both the science and film communities.
